Honeyville Farms classes
NOTES: Walk-ins are always welcome, but pre-registration insures you will get class materials when you check in.
I’m pleased to be partnering with Honeyville Farms, a company established over 50 years ago, to provide wholesale food ingredients to the food industry. Phoenix area residents have the opportunity to purchase directly from the Honeyville Farms retail store in Chandler and attend a Survival Mom class as well! The classes I’m offering at this location are:
Cooking Off the Grid
Electrical outages, rolling black-outs or just roughing it in the wilderness don’t have to mean eating cold ravioli out of the can! Learn now how to cook off the grid, all while maintaining a commitment to eating well. This class will teach you how to cook delicious meals with a solar oven, as well as the use of simple camp stoves and even a homemade hobo stove!
Dehydrated Dinners: Just add water
You can make your own dehydrated mixes for either short-term or long-term storage, and it’s easier than you might think! This class teaches basic information about dehydrated foods and step-by-step instructions for making your own Dehydrated Dinners.
Food Storage Basics
Food storage means different things to different people. This class will teach you how and why to store food for the short, intermediate, and long term. Having several weeks worth of food on hand insures healthy, satisfying meals in spite of job loss, rising costs, or food shortages. Learn how to develop a well-rounded food storage plan for your family, taking into consideration food allergies, sensitivities, and preferences and create a customized, affordable plan based on TheSurvivalMom’s three layer system.
All-Around Prepredness
This introductory course addresses the reasons why your family should be prepared for uncertain times, how to do it, and where to even begin. You don’t need to feel overwhelmed at the prospect since this class will show you how easy it is and how it will bring you and your family peace of mind. We cover the basics of water and food storage, the most important practical skills to learn, financial preparedness, tips for home and personal security, and more. You’ll learn the most important steps to take toward preparedness and how to develop your own Family Preparedness Plan.
The Top Ten Foods to Store
This class is for beginners and experienced food storage pros alike who want to learn more about specific foods that should make up the core of any long-term storage. Why should tomato products be near the top of the list, and do you really need hundreds of pounds of wheat? This class will help you clearly define any gaps in your own food storage and focus on foods that are the most versatile, available, and affordable. This class includes a manual with additional tips, recipes and worksheets.
Honeyville Farms is located just east of I-10 and south of Chandler Boulevard in Chandler at 33 S. 56th Street, Suite 1. For a sneak preview of the store, you can watch this video.
