Life is full of enough doom and gloom without signing up for a monthly subscription! That’s why I was delighted to hear about a new preparedness magazine, “Happy to Survive,” and to participate in their first issue.
It’s tough putting together information that walks the fine line between common sense and hysteria, smart strategies and wild-eyed, fear-based fantasies. The folks at “Happy to Survive” have worked hard to walk that line and provide solid information for self-reliant living. You’ll find information for small farms, hunting, food storage, and, in their first issue, and interview with me.
I was interviewed several weeks ago by one of their writers, Patti Light. Her questions to me went beyond the typical, “How did you get started?” and “What should a mom have in her purse at all times?” I liked the fact that she kept her questions to me focused on preparedness and was aware that preparedness is a positive action.
I got to see a few pages of the final version, and the magazine is simply stunning in full, beautiful color with a gorgeous layout. Currently it’s available to iPad users via the Apple iTunes store. Full issues are just $4.99 with a subscription and $6.99 for single issues. Plans are in the works for a print version as well, so stay tuned.
If you don’t own an iPad, you can still get an idea of what the magazine is about by taking a look at the preview.
Kudos to everyone at “Happy to Survive” for producing an eye-catching, positive magazine for every survival and preparedness person out there.
