Hummm–we did have to purify water…a boil order was given in the city where we live–that is very inconvenient!!!!!

In the field we had to chemically purify the water so we could drink it… didn’t take all the drift out orbit though. Strange how I used to just drink it before and now I pick out lint lol.

I’m reading your book on my kindle right now and I loooove it!
When I was deployed to Afghanistan water purification was a huge issue. We only drank bottled water but even our shower water had to be purified because they would poison it with chemical agents. My experience really drove home how quickly your water supply changes your chances of survival. You simply cannot rely on others to know what to do to protect your family. We really are just one natural disaster away from this knowledge being put to good use!

I checked out survival mom from the library. It was great! I’d love my own copy….great Christmas gift idea! Fortunately, I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve needed to purify water but recently we had a sewage pipe break in an area of my town and I got to thinking how easy it would be for sewage to back up and come out the pipes, contaminating our water….

I just got your e-book and read it, but the hard copy sure would be handy! I’ve always had reverse osmosis since I live close to the beach, and the water can be high sodium, but I’ve never had to worry about clean water to drink. I wish I could afford a Berkey!
