One year I gave my husband an enormous cleaver for Christmas, wondering all the while, “Why am I giving him a weapon to use against me?”
Well, he only ever used that cleaver with vegetables and cuts of beef, so I didn’t need to worry. You won’t need to worry, either, if you give your loved one this beautiful handmade axe by Federal Ax Company!
Alex, the owner of Federal Ax, is donating this axe and wrote this list of all the reasons why every home should have one. He says:
This is a beautiful and rustic Plumb brand axe with a 28 inch handle. Plumb is one of the brands I recommend for those looking for older axes made from great, American steel. I’ve filed down the rough edges on the poll, sharpened the blade with a mill file and whetstone, and stropped the blade on leather. I’ve sanded and oiled the reddish hickory handle and it comes with a hand-made canvas sheath with leather inserts.
