  5. I have recently ordered this book and it should be arriving this week, so pleased I could get it here in Australia, I am always on the lookout for good medical health books for my library, not all are. So I am am very happy you gave it a good review as it seemed to be a quality book.

Looking forward to being able to purchase your book here too, hopefully soon.

    Thanks

  6. Bob, I wish you would have included your credentials so we could have a better understanding of your background and critique. There is no way that any single book could possibly cover every possible health issue but this book does a good job of covering those that are most common, providing basic steps to take that are feasible for the layperson. As someone who has received very little medical training, their suggestions made sense as something I could do as a first, first responder. There is a small section in the back of the book, referring readers to helpful videos and other websites. I have something similar in my own book, and it only makes sense to offer readers other avenues of education. On one hand you complain that there isn’t enough detailed information but then criticize Dr. Alton for offering more! As far as herbs and other natural remedies go, another medical doctor said to me, “3000+ years of natural remedies can’t be all wrong!”, and I agree. In my opinion, today’s medical professionals are actually too quick to prescribe pharmaceuticals and surgery. I was glad to read of different, natural options because in a collapse scenario, that might be all we have access to. Again, I wish you would have provided us with your own background as a medical professional. When I read negative reviews such as yours, it’s sometimes difficult to know if it’s based on some sort of personal issue with the author or not.

  7. I almost never delete a comment because I believe we can all learn from each other and opposing viewpoints are good to hear and consider. However, I decided to delete the comment from “Bob” that was critical of this book. I had left his comment up until today because, hey, each person is entitled to their opinion. However, I have discovered that “Bob” left this exact same review on multiple sites around the internet. To me, that’s spamming AND, apparently, this anonymous person has some sort of personal issues with the book, the authors, who knows. A different opinion from mine is okay, but to go out of the way to denigrate the work of another person is psychotic and not welcome here on the Survival Mom blog. Bob, get a life and write your own medical advice book to show how you think it should be done.
