Marjory Wildcraft is one of my favorite gardening gurus. You can learn more about her at Grow Your Own Groceries. Last month I had a chance to meet up with her, and we recorded this video.

Saw you on NatGeo show – loved your attitude. I am a great-grandmother & am trying to prepare for my family, I know they think I have gone off the deep end, but I was raised to ‘hope for the best & prepare for the worst’ & you’re always prepared! Was really blown away by your treatment of eggs & cheese & have to try it. My motto is “have done so much w/so little, for so long, I can do almost anything w/a little bit of something”. Also loved your dinner party/pot luck – food looked great – I w/b standing beside you, I’m the lady that could stand to lose 75 lbs!

Great segment.
As per your suggestion, I have ingredients for homemade soups. Remembering our kiddos (and my husband), I purchased the Kids 6 Pack from Thrive. It has everything you need to make mac & cheese, plus a can of FD strawberries. You can’t go wrong with comfort foods, especially when life is in chaos!
I’ve also packed up several Bear Creek soups and Zatarain’ mixes, with an extra cup of rice, in 1/2 gal. Mylar bags and O2s. They’re not as cost efficient as homemade, but they make a great bug out or camping meal.
