Check out these two online stories

survival mom feature prepared 300x126 Check out these two online storiesTheParanoidDad finally gets a dose of publicity in this very nice story over at Asylum.com, AOL’s website for men.  He’s the guy holding all that food in the top photo.

MomLogic features this very blog in an interview with me, “Prepper Mom is Ready for any Emergency.”

The more people in our neighborhoods and families who give some thought about preparedness, the better it is for everyone.  Thank you to the writers of these two stories for writing well-balanced articles that encourage people to think like we do!

  1. Your hubby is a cutie!!!

    • Thanks! I think so, too. A cutie and a good sport!

  2. Thank you so much for this. You actually came off sounding normal. I was interviewed dozens of times after my Just In Case book came out and I sometimes came off sounding as though I had let my perscribptions lapse. It is really hard to make the point that things are looking worse every day without sounding paranoid and odd but you did it!

    • That's hilarious, Kathy! I've read your blog and you sound 100% sane! Maybe the reason I sounded like I did is that this interview was done via email. I had time to think about the questions, write, delete, spellcheck, etc. :o ) Thinking on my feet in a face-to-face interview is a lot trickier!

  3. Go Paranoid Dad! And I recognize those Costco shelves in the background. :-)

  4. Yep! Actually, I think he gets them from Home Depot, his all-time favorite store. If I had a dollar for every time he's been to Home Depot… well, I could afford one of those "Year Supply of Freeze-Dried Food!" from The Ready Store! LOL

  5. Karen is right, he's a real cutie! You go girl!

    • Two unknown facts: we met on AOL, have been married almost 15 years, and I'm 7 years older than he is. Okay, that's three facts. You got a bonus one for free!

  6. 7 years younger than you? Well in my book that makes him a minor….not!

    • LOL That's not too far off the mark! What's funny is that he's the mature and stable one in the family!

  7. Great articles! It seems more and more people are seeing the light! Nice job!
