Will your budget survive this holiday season?

“]”]photo by [henning]Even as our turkey dinners are being digested, we’re bombarded with Christmas advertising.  Retailers are worried about their bottom lines this year, and they should be.  Our family will be spending less than last year, so it’s vital that every dollar is spent wisely.

One of my readers sent me two links that I’m going to use as I shop for gifts in the coming days.  Both links can be found at Offers.com.  The first is a Math Cheat Sheet for Sales and Discounts.  You can tell at a glance what any price is after discounts ranging from 15% to 75%!  Print out the cheat sheet, and you’ll be more than ready to shop for bargains!

The second link is a Holiday Budget Calculator.  Does your spouse get highly agitated when an extra dollar is spent?  Does he, or she, watch the checkbook and bank account like a starving hawk?  Well, this calculator, alone, might let him sleep in heavenly peace, knowing there’s a budget in place for everything from gifts and wrapping paper to decorations and travel.  Heck, you could stick a bow on your monitor, and tell him the Holiday Budget Calculator is his Christmas gift!
