What’s in YOUR Food Storage Pantry?
I am notorious for being nosy. Leave me alone with someone for about fifteen minutes, and I’ll know their whole life story and what bugs them the most about their spouse!
On the topic of food storage, I love seeing what other people have in their pantries and how it’s stored. This gal is sharing the whole kit and kaboodle without us having to pry the information out of her. Enjoy this video and then tell us a bit about your own food storage pantry!

I want her food room! I'll put my own food in it, I just want the space and shelves!
Here's a post of my food room from last February–the particular items have changed a bit since then, there's actually MORE stuff in it now and it's arranged ever so slightly differently, but there's not a whole lot you can do when you've got limited space. Don't laugh too hard–Obviously I could use some extra room. http://selfrelianceadventures.blogspot.com/2009/0…

I'm always amazed at the creativity of people when it comes to storing their food! I've heard of it stacked up with a tablecloth covering it, kind of like a bedside table! I know both my kids have about 25 bottles of water under each of their beds. That has turned out to be a good thing, actually, because they can't shove their clothes and toys under the bed and then tell me they've cleaned their room!

Hey there! Thx for the great video. I have a question. How long would rolled oats stored in a bucket with mylar and an oxygen absorber last? I have quite abit, I need to do something with. I would really appreciate some advice, folks.

rhonda, packed the way you say, I'd give it 8 to 10 yrs. Whole oat groats would last a lot longer, 20 to 25 yrs, but anything you do to change from the original raw form changes things. Of course, then you'd have to learn to roll your own. hee hee.

thx, barbara. ur right. that i really dont want to have to do…lol. well, we eat alot of oats here so i'll just keep rotating. fifo..
