More and more college age kids are joining the prepper ranks, and who can blame them? In their 2 decades or so of life they saw the housing market bubble pop, witnessed Hurricane Katrina and the Indonesian tsunami, have memories of 9/11, and are feeling first-hand the frustrations that come with a declining economy.

Welcome to the prepper world, Millenial Generation!

Today’s giveaway, a J. Bullivant Dorm Bag, is for the alert and informed college kid who wants to be prepared for any number of emergencies, from a dorm fire to a campus shooting.

The J. Bullivant Dorm Bag comes equipped with:

  • Personal fire extinguisher
  • Personal power generator with charging cables
  • “Urban Survival Device”, which includes a NOAA radio, LED clock, USB charging port, siren, and AM/FM radio
  • LED flashlight
  • Emergency lantern
  • All Hazards Emergency Escape Hood
  • Ballistic shield
  • Self-defense fogger
  • Portable solar charger

Not bad for the student who has everything, and you can win this bag for him/her. (Or even yourself. We won’t tell!)

This bag is going to be a very popular prize, so in order for you to have as many chances to win as possible, I’m going with another Rafflecopter drawing.

PLEASE NOTE! If you only want to leave a comment as your entry and not bother with social media or anything else, that’s okay! Just be sure to click on “Leave a comment” on the Rafflecopter form so your entry will be officially registered.

  1. Tricia says

Probably the fire extinguisher. But I love gadgets so I would the Urban Survival Device the most.

  2. LarryL says

1 child left in college! I will sleep better knowing that he would have the escape hood available.

  3. Patty says

I have one in college. The Urban Survival device to me is most important. He is miles away from us, so this would be handy. He and I were just discussing what kind of bug out bag to put together last night. We had a very good discussion. This would be wonderful to have.

  4. Meredith says

The urban survival device would be useful in multiple situations. Thanks for the great blog and contest!

  5. Quinn says

No one remembers the fire extinguisher until they need one so I would consider that the most important item

  6. Selena Cooper says

The Urban Survival Device because it will give you the latest info as to what is happening and where to go for help. You should always have your personnel bug out bag with you at all times.

  7. Lakeisha J says

The fire extinguisher is the most important. In the event of a power outage, you can live without light for a while; when there’s a fire, it needs to be put out quickly.

  8. Ready Granny says

It’s tough to pick the one most important item, I have to go with the escape hood.

  9. Michele P says

I like the Urban Survival Device and think it’s a pretty important multi function item to add to the kit.

  10. says

I think the personal power generator is the most important. In the event of emergency, the most important thing for me would be making sure we could keep in touch with our son. His campus is so large, that it would be challenging to locate him if we didn’t have a way to contact him.

  11. Rhonda Burnaman says

Everything in the bag. But, a water purification bottle added to that would be even better!

  12. Katy says

The fire extinguisher is probably the most versatile (extinguish flames, blunt force weapon, can also be used as a distraction/deterrent if being attacked – spray in the face to blind and then strike or run).

  13. Emma says

I think the hood is likely the most important item. A dormfire is a not unlikely scenario, after all.

  14. MicheleK says

I think the chocolate is the most important item in the bag. What? Wait…. there’s no chocolate?

  15. Angela Zimba says

Wow it’s really hard to choose just one item, but I would pick •Portable solar charger.

  16. Jen says

I think they’re all important, depending on the scenario. The radio might be the most useful if nothing else works during a storm.

  17. wendy b says

I’m going to go with the All Hazards Emergency Escape Hood as the most important item.

  18. Dulcinea says

I think the fire extinguisher would be best during an emergency, but the solar charger would be great for all occasions.

  19. Allison Green says

The radio is important to me. I want my son to have the best information available in any situation.

  20. Tessa says

Well, what would get used most is probably the Solar charger, but imho the most important would be the Defense Fogger.

There’s a lot of violence on school campus’ these days often times with the schools themselves trying to cover up for rapists and abusers. So something like that would be really important to me.
